ŠKODA Enyaq iV can now use 125kW charge points
The ŠKODA Enyaq iV could only charge at a maximum power of 50kW when it was first introduced, however the latest Enyaq iV can now charge at up to 125kW as standard for the 80 model, or up to 120kW for the 60 model.
This means that the charge time (to 80%) for the Enyaq iV 80 – with an 82kWh battery – now takes just 38 minutes to 80% at a 125kW DC charge point. Previously this took 1 hour 10 minutes. The charging time for the Skoda Enyaq iV 60 lease option with a 62kWh battery, now takes 35 minutes rather than 55 minutes to 80% at 120kW.
This change is to take advantage of the roll-out of new ultra-rapid public DC chargers across the UK. Most rapid chargers to date have been 50kW units, but now there’s an increasing number of new chargers with outputs ranging between 120kW and 350kW. There are currently 4,770 rapid DC public chargers at 3,060 sites around the UK. There are also now more than 1,100 ultra-rapid (100kW+) units.
A full charge will provide the ŠKODA Enyaq iV 80 lease option with a range of up to 336 miles, or up to 255 miles in the case of the Enyaq iV 60.
Although the ŠKODA Enyaq iV was only available with rear-wheel drive when it was first launched in the UK, you can now buy an all-wheel drive model. The all-wheel-drive 80x SportLine model is also the most powerful Enyaq iV to date with twin motors delivering an output of 195kW (265PS), and the 82kWh battery giving a range of 303 miles; it’s priced from £46,610.
And there’s even now a ŠKODA Enyaq Coupé iV, with a range of up to 332 miles. The Enyaq Coupé iV is available with three power outputs, rear or all-wheel drive, and better aerodynamics than the standard body style – but it still has a large (570-litre) boot.
