Honda debuts their new B-segment SUV, the e:Ny1, which boasts a stylish design and impressive performance

Honda unveils its second fully-electric car, the e:Ny1, at their European media event in Germany. The new electrified model is based on Honda's newly designed e:N architecture F and blends comfort with revolutionary technology and their distinctive trademark style.

The new Honda e:Ny1 B-segment electric SUV will be priced from £44,995, with order books opening in the UK in late October.

The brand’s existing electric vehicle, the Honda e city car, is an excellent product, so we’re hoping that the e:Ny1 is better than its name. At least it has a longer driving range than the Honda e, at (WLTP) 256 miles. A 10% to 80% charge takes 45 minutes at a 100 kW rapid charger.

The Honda e:Ny1 has an all-new front-wheel drive e:N Architecture F BEV platform. Its cabin doesn’t have touchscreens stretching along the dashboard like the Honda e, but it does feature some large, clear buttons on the tall central touchscreen, presumably inspired by the Honda e.

Starting at £44,995, e:Ny1 Elegance grades come with a specification that includes an eight-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat in synthetic leather, auto-dimming mirrors, dual-zone air conditioning, a wireless charging pad, multiple USB ports, smart entry, push-button start, power heated mirrors, sequential indicators and privacy glass.

All models feature a large 15.1-inch central touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument display, front and rear parking sensors, and a reversing camera.

The e:Ny1’s top-of-the-range Advance grade starts from £47,195 and has black or light grey premium synthetic leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, a heated leather steering wheel, a premium audio system and a hands-free power tailgate. The Advance grade also features Honda’s Parking Pilot system, which is supported by a multi-view camera system as well as additional side sensors. The system identifies a suitable parking space and controls the steering, brakes, accelerator and gear shifting. It covers six variations of parking scenarios, including bay, parallel and diagonal parking.

The My Honda+ app allows users to schedule climate control and remote charging via their smartphone.

The e:Ny1 will come with a complimentary Five Year Care Package, which includes 5 Years Servicing, 5 Year Guarantee (3 Year Manufacturers + 2 Year Extended Guarantee), and 5 Years UK + European Roadside Assistance.

Order books for the all-new Honda e:Ny1 open in late October, with first deliveries expected from January 2024.
