Skywell reveals 'Q' electric hatchback at the Paris Motor Show 2024
Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Skywell has unveiled its new 'Q' hatchback at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, adding to its growing lineup of electric vehicles in the European market. The Q is set to join the already anticipated Skywell BE11, which opened for pre-orders in August this year.
Skywell Expands Lineup with New Q Hatchback
The Skywell Q offers a range of impressive features, including a large opening 'Skyroof', wireless phone charging, and a 360-degree panoramic parking camera. Its interior boasts a superior infotainment system with a large 15.6-inch touchscreen display, a premium German-engineered Metz sound system, and touchscreen displays for rear seat occupants.
Skywell has prioritized practicality with two battery options available. The larger battery offers a range of over 300 miles and a recharge time of around 20 minutes. And, the Q's 150kW motor is expected to be nippy, getting the EV from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.9 seconds.
The Q's sleek design is inspired by the 'Skyhome' concept, is sure to turn heads. Measuring 4,297mm long, 1,836mm wide, and 1,536mm high, it fits comfortably into the popular 'Class C' family car segment. The Skywell Q is set to rival well-known electric hatchbacks such as the Volkswagen ID.3 and the Vauxhall Astra Electric.
Inside, the Q offers a spacious and ergonomic interior with plenty of practical features, including a large Skyroof, composite fiber panelling, and ambient lighting.
Safety is a top priority with the Q, which comes equipped with a comprehensive ADAS package including Intelligent Cruise Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking System, Lane Keep Assist, and Intelligent Speed Assist.
Skywell has confirmed that the Q will be competitively priced and backed by its extensive 7-year, 100,000-mile warranty. The company expects to launch the Q in the UK in Q3 2025.
