Skywell and Seres EVs coming to UK in 2024
Two new EV manufacturers are heading to the UK this year...
It's been confirmed that UK motorists will soon be able to drive electric cars from two new-to-the UK manufacturers after IA Electric Vehicles announced plans to bring the Skywell ET5 and Seres 3 to these shores.
IA Electric Vehicles is a UK-based sales company that sources and imports electric vehicles from other parts of the world - they currently have the Chinese-built DFSK EC35 panel van and EC31 chassis cab available in the UK.
Both the Skywell ET5 and Seres 3 are expected to be available before the middle of 2024.
Skywell ET5
This is a mid-sized SUV EV, powered by a 150kW electric motor on the front wheels. Available in other markets with a choice of three battery packs (55 kWh, 72 kWh and 86 kWh) we're expecting the 72 kWh to hit the UK. Real world range should be in the region of 250 miles.
There's a 12.8-inch touchscreen controlling most of the EV's functions and a plethora of safety kit as standard.
Seres 3
A Chinese-built compact SUV, the Seres 3 features a 53 kWh battery pack which should give it a 200 mile real world range.
There is enough space for five occupants and the EV features a 10.25-inch multimedia system.
