Skoda teases new 7-seat electric car
Skoda is updating its design language, aka the way their cars look, and has revealed concept sketches of a new 7-seat EV
If there's a car segment which hasn't (yet) seen a plethora of choice then it is arguably the large family segment, for people that need to regularly move six or seven people from place to place. Sure there's the brilliant Tesla Model X and Mercedes-Benz has recently released the large EQB suv, but that's kinda your lot.
So it is great news that the engineers at Skoda are actively working on a large seven-seat all-electric SUV. Even if we're still a few years away from actually driving one.
Not a lot has been revealed about this concept car, although these sketches clearly show a change of departure for Skoda, particularly the front end which has become wider and flatter than anything with a Skoda-badge on the roads today.
Inside the large car is a cavernous interior, with the released sketches showing 3 rows of seats and even a rear facing central baby seat.
Oliver Stefani, Head of Design at Skoda said: "The new design language is minimalist, functional and authentic. In the future, we will continue to focus on Skoda's traditional strengths, such as generous space, easy usability and a high degree of functionality."
