Skoda reveals Elroq vital statistics
Skoda's next electric car, the Elroq is set for a full reveal in the autumn but the Czech brand has released plenty of information ahead of the launch
The all-new Skoda Elroq will officially be revealed in the Autumn of 2024, however that hasn't stopped the popular carmaker releasing plenty of details ahead of the launch.
For now, Skoda has released lightly camouflaged images of the SUV electric car with the model the first to benefit from a new design language, named "Modern Solid".
For people familiar with the Skoda range, the Elroq is effectively the pure electric alternative to the Skoda Karoq.
The [Skoda] Elroq is a milestone in our BEV portfolio, the first in a coming line-up of six new fully electric models, following the success of the Enyaq and Enyaq Coupé. Even the first glimpse of its bold new Modern Solid design tells you that this car is something new
The new model is built on Volkswagen Group's MEB platform, so shares a common ancestry with models such as the Skoda Enyaq, Volkswagen ID.4 and Cupra Born.
There's going to be four powertrain options available for the Elroq, with power outputs ranging from 170 PS to 300 PS.

Skoda is promising plenty of interior space, despite its relatively small external dimensions. With a standard boot capacity of 470 litres, expandable to 1,580 litres with the rear seats dropped.
As with all new cars - the Elroq will come packed with all the latest safety and assistance technology. Including a smart "trained parking" option, where the car can be taught to remember how to park in a certain locations (up to five) by the driver.
