Obi-Wan Kenobi star becomes Volkswagen brand ambassador

Scottish actor Ewan McGregor, perhaps best known for starring roles in the Star Wars prequel and Trainspotting films, has signed up to become a Volkswagen brand ambassador.

Ahead of the Disney+ launch of the ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ streaming series on 27th May, Volkswagen is teaming up with the actor and the Star Wars franchise to promote its new ID. Buzz electric vehicle.

For those unaware of who Obi-Wan Kenobi is, he’s a famous Jedi knight in the Star Wars universe and this limited run series will focus on his exploits after the events of the 2005 film, Revenge of the Sith and promises to feature further run-ins with the evil Sith lord Darth Vader. All good family fun.

Commenting on the collaboration, Klaus Zellmer said:

Perhaps the most exciting part of the campaign will see two ‘Star Wars Edition’ ID. Buzz vehicles unveiled in California at the end of May. Volkswagen is yet to confirm whether drivers will have the option to charge up their lightsabers while on the move!
