Launch line-up of Dacia Spring EV confirmed
Set to be known as the UK's 'cheapest EV' the Dacia Spring will launch this Autumn(!) with a three trim line-up
Dacia has confirmed the launch line-up of its Spring electric car, set to be known as the UK's cheapest new electric car.
With first deliveries expected from Autumn 2024, drivers can pick from an uncomplicated line-up of three trim levels with two power outputs. Bucking the trend for larger, heavier and more expensive batteries, the Dacia Spring features a 26.8 kWh battery across the range, which provides a WLTP range of 137 miles on a full charge. We expect that to translate to a real-world figure of around the 100 mile mark.
The entry level trim is known as Expression, available in either 45 hp or 65 hp power outputs and you'll find a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, cruise control, real parking sensors and electric front windows. Upgrading to the Extreme trim, only available with the 65 hp power output, adds a touch more luxury with a 10-inch central screen, Apple CarPlay / Android Auto compatibility, and even V2L technology.
