Kia unveils PV5 Passenger and Cargo models ahead of world premiere
Kia has revealed the exterior design of its PV5 Passenger and PV5 Cargo models, marking the first dedicated vehicle under the brand’s new Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) strategy. The announcement comes ahead of the 2025 Kia EV Day, set to take place in Tarragona, Spain, where further details about the PV5’s variants and configurations will be shared.
First previewed as a concept at CES 2024, the mid-sized PV5 is the first model under Kia’s PBV global business strategy. Designed to redefine space and mobility, the PV5 leverages Kia’s EV technology to provide flexibility and customisation through innovative modularity.
The PV5 will be available in multiple configurations, including a Passenger Van for enhanced comfort and a Cargo Van optimised for freight transport. Additional derivative and converted variants will be unveiled at the 2025 Kia EV Day.
A distinctive, futuristic design
The PV5 models share a bold, futuristic character that sets them apart from traditional light commercial vehicles. Signature lighting is seamlessly integrated into the A-pillar, while the upper body contrasts with the robust, technical lower section in line with Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy.
