Kia EV3 launches in Europe with leading electric performance

Positioned as a practical yet innovative family car, the Kia EV3 leverages technologies from Kia's award-winning EV6 and EV9 models, delivering premium features in a more compact and budget-friendly package. With a roomy interior and a focus on comfort, the EV3 is designed to be the main vehicle for many households. It has already undergone rigorous testing across European roads and weather conditions, ensuring it performs smoothly on highways, in cities, and on winding country roads.

The Kia EV3 is an amazingly versatile vehicle, built and designed to accommodate the diverse needs and distinctive lifestyles of customers across Europe.

A Leader in Range and Charging Efficiency

One of the EV3’s standout features is its efficiency in both range and charging. Thanks to aerodynamic enhancements and a boat-tail design, the EV3 achieves a low drag coefficient of 0.263, helping it reach up to a claimed 479 miles on urban roads. For drivers concerned with quick recharges, the EV3’s 400V fast-charging technology can add up to 125 miles in just 15 minutes. Charging from 10% to 80% takes less than half an hour, depending on the battery option.

The EV3 also supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, allowing it to power external devices—perfect for camping trips or emergencies. In addition, future updates will make the EV3 compatible with Vehicle-to-Grid and Vehicle-to-Home systems, paving the way for advanced home energy solutions.

Innovative Interior and Connected Features

The Kia EV3’s cabin has been thoughtfully crafted for comfort and convenience. Its spacious, “living room” interior features clever storage, sliding tables, relaxation seats, and mood lighting. The triple-screen dashboard integrates a 12.3-inch driver display, a 12.3-inch touchscreen for navigation, and a 5.3-inch climate control display, creating an uncluttered and intuitive layout.

In a first for Kia, the EV3 introduces Kia In-Car Payment, starting with a partnership with Parkopedia, which lets drivers locate and pay for parking directly from their vehicle’s navigation screen. Other high-tech additions include over-the-air updates, a Digital Key 2.0 for unlocking the vehicle with a smartphone or smartwatch, and Kia’s new AI Assistant powered by ChatGPT.

A Sustainable Choice

Kia has also incorporated a variety of sustainable materials into the EV3. In collaboration with The Ocean Cleanup, Kia has introduced an optional limited-edition trunk liner made from recycled ocean plastic collected from the Pacific Ocean. The liner’s design reflects waves and nets, symbolizing the brand’s commitment to cleaner oceans. Kia plans to increase its use of recycled materials in vehicles, aiming to have 20% of all plastics in its cars sourced from recycled materials by 2030.
