EcoCar Electrified Awards - Rundown of Winners
The EcoCar Electrified Top 50 Awards are a self-proclaimed, unbiased accolade that awards every car through a robust and comprehensive road testing score system.
As such, they claim every winner “has won because it is truly the best in the segment.”
So, with that said, let’s take a look at the prestigious winners.

Continuing with all-electric SUVs, the best luxury SUV went to the market leading BMW iX. A jewel in the German automaker’s crown, the BMW iX is the last word in high-end electric motoring, a well-deserved win.
Best compact-SUV went to the Peugeot e-2008. The increasingly popular EV is a great choice for those who want the taller ride-height without compromising on a sporty feel. We recently took the Peugeot e-2008 out for a full test drive, read our review here.
Small cars
For those looking for a more practical, nippy EV - the EcoCar awards hailed a numerous amount of cars on the more compact end.
Best electric hot hatch went to the brand new Cupra Born. This all-electric rocket from performance brand Cupra is one of the best deals if you’re looking for an eco way to go very quickly.

Family cars

It may be divisive when it comes to the design, but there’s no denying the underpinnings of the Hyundai are class-leading.
Another French automaker taking home a gong is Citroen. Their e-C4 was awarded the best electric medium car. Best electric medium estate car went to the MG 5, exploiting the its place as one of the only estate cars available on the market.
