Audi expands Q4 e-tron lineup with new entry level 40 e-tron
Audi has introduced a new variant to its Q4 e-tron lineup, making its premium electric SUV even more accessible. The Q4 40 e-tron will be available to order from March 2025 and will come with a 63kWh battery offering up to 258 miles of range.
As one of the UK's best-selling electric vehicles in 2024, the Q4 e-tron has been a strong performer in Audi's EV lineup. The introduction of the 40 e-tron model lowers the entry price while still delivering impressive range and performance. The SUV variant provides up to 250 miles on a single charge, while the Sportback version extends this to 258 miles. Charging is fast and efficient, with DC charging power of 165kW enabling a 10-80% charge in just 24 minutes. A 10-minute charge at a rapid station can add up to 96 miles of range.
Performance remains strong despite the smaller battery. The Q4 40 e-tron features a 204PS electric motor at the rear axle, accelerating from 0-62mph in 8.1 seconds and reaching a top speed of 99mph. The model also boasts a towing capacity of up to 1,200kg.
Smarter charging and maintenance
To enhance convenience, Audi has introduced manual battery preconditioning, allowing drivers to optimise charging efficiency via the MMI infotainment system. This feature ensures the best possible charging speed at any station. Predictive maintenance reminders further streamline ownership, alerting drivers when servicing is required.
Advanced connectivity and technology
The Q4 40 e-tron includes the Audi application store, offering access to a range of popular apps directly via the MMI system. A one-year, 25GB data package is included, improving connectivity without relying on a smartphone. The model also features an enhanced voice control system powered by ChatGPT, allowing drivers to control navigation, climate, and infotainment settings using natural voice commands.
Premium features at a lower price point
Despite its position as an entry-level variant, the Q4 40 e-tron comes with extensive standard equipment, including Audi MMI navigation plus, a 10.25-inch digital cockpit, and Audi connect navigation & infotainment.
