Audi adds bigger battery Q6 e-tron to range
Available from August 2024, there's a new Audi Q6 e-tron variant coming to the UK with a larger battery pack for even more miles of range.
German brand Audi has announced a new addition to its Q6 e-tron range. Named the Q6 SUV e-tron performance, this new variant features a 94.9 kWh (net) battery pack with enough juice to give the SUV a WLTP range of 392 miles.
This means that the real-world range for this car should comfortably sit over the 300-mile mark, perhaps closer to 350 miles.
Underneath the cabin there's a rear wheel drive set-up, with the PSM motor capable of a 306PS, which is significantly lower than the two current variants available but Audi is balancing performance with range. And it's the first Q6 e-tron that doesn't feature all wheel drive capability. However, Audi is also planning a new entry-level variant to join the line-up (with rear-wheel drive) towards the end of 2024.
This Q6 e-tron retains the ultra-rapid DC charging capability, so for those (very) long motorway trips, the car can accept up to 250kW of DC power. This means that under favoured conditions and hooked up to a 350kW ultra-rapid charger the EV can add 161 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
