In early 2023 Volkswagen unwrapped the ID.2 all concept EV as the first vehicle to be produced on VW Group's new all-electric platform "MEB Entry". Looking distinctly more VW than the current range of ID models, the ID.2 will be the charged-up successor to the VW Polo hatchback.
Unlike Volkswagen's other small EV, the e-Up, the ID.2 will only be available as a BEV and because of this VW is promising a very spacious cabin for the occupants - more Golf-sized than Polo-sized.
The first ID model to feature front-wheel drive, Volkswagen is also promising a price tag of under £25,000.
