Vauxhall Astra Electric lease
Joining Vauxhall's growing band of all electric models, the Astra Electric hatchback will be joined by the Astra Sports Tourer Electric too, giving consumers even more pure electric choice.
We're expecting the Vauxhall Astra Electric to become a popular personal lease choice here at DriveElectric, thanks to its winning combination of stylish looks, good vehicle range and practicality.
Power is provided by Stellantis Group's latest battery technology - so the 54kWh battery has a WLTP range figure of 258 miles, we think in the real world the car's range will be around the 200 to 210 miles mark, perfect for daily uses.
It will also come equipped with the ability to DC charge (using a rapid or ultra-rapid public charger) at up to 100kW, which means the Astra Electric can go from 10% to 80% charged in around 30 minutes. So if you're planning a long day of driving (300+ miles) then you'll just be needing one stop.
Vauxhall is keen to point out that there's no compromise with interior space compared to it's petrol/diesel siblings, with the battery cells housed in the vehicle's underbelly.
The Astra Electric will be joining the likes of the Corsa-e and Mokka-e in the Vauxhall all electric line-up soon!
Bursting with tech
One of the most exciting bits of tech we've seen on the Astra Electric can be found right at the front of the vehicle - the LED headlights.
The name is a bit of a mouthful, IntelliLux LED® Pixel, but these super smart lights respond to driving conditions and surroundings to light the way ahead automatically, capable of flooding the front with light on dark stretches of unlit roads but not dazzle other drivers, and return to a dipped format automatically when street lights are on.
