About the Peugeot e-208
The e-208 is an all-electric hatchback offering from French automaker Peugeot. Experts in compact and nippy city cars, Peugeot's electric version is no different. With a distinctive exterior and sharp bodylines, the e-208 has an uncharacteristically imposing road presence for both a hatchback and a Peugeot.
The cabin is spacious and benefits from the 5-door configuration. making the e-208 a very practical option for city driving and the occasional longer journey.
Tech-wise there's a 3D digital instrument panel which compliments the futuristic feel of the EV, offering extensive driver information at a glance. Three driving modes let the driver tune the e-208's behaviour; Charge, Eco and Power. Each operates as the name suggests, with Eco prioritising range and a smooth drive.
Charging the Peugeot e-208
The Peugeot e-208 is offered with a single battery size: a 50kWh pack.
In terms of range, this gives the e-208 an official WLTP range of 211 miles. At DriveElectric however, we do our own tests to determine a more realistic range for every vehicle we lease. We concluded that drivers are more likely to achieve around 165 miles per charge, which is still more than enough for most daily journeys.
The e-208 uses the European standard of connector; the Type 2 and CCS. Charging at home via a standard 7kW wall-box charger will fully charge the Peugeot in around 7 hours and 30 minutes. Most customers plug-in overnight and take advantage of cheaper energy prices during the off-peak hours.
When using a 100kW rapid charger found at service stations, car parks, hotels etc. the e-208 can go from a 10-80% charge in just 30 minutes
