New Kia Niro EV lease deals
The all new Kia Niro EV is launching in the latter half of 2022 - and is sure to be as popular as the incredible model it replaces. The Kia e-Niro was actually the UK's second biggest selling all EV model in 2021 and it is easy to see why when it comes in such a complete package.
Just like the model it replaces, Kia is offering the new Niro with a variety of powertrains, including hybrid and plug-in hybrid varieties - but, of course, it is the all-electric models that we're interested in.




Kia Niro EV battery and charging
For launch the Kia Niro EV will be available in a single battery powertrain option - a 64.8kWh lithium-ion polymer battery pack connected to a 150kW motor. Real world range is expected to be around the 235 mile mark, with a WLTP figure of close to 290 miles.

Fastcharge times are improved over the out going model, with 10 per cent to 80 per cent charge times on a rapid charger reduced to 45 minutes.
Kia Niro EV trims
Kia has announced that the EV version will be available in grades 2, 3 and 4. With the middle and top spec models capable of Vehicle to Load / Vehicle to Device functionality, i.e. the car comes with a three-point plug socket as standard.
Kia Niro EV ‘2’ model
It might be the entry-level model but Kia always pack a lot of kit into the whole of their range - so even the 2 trim gets LED headlights, rear parking sensors, battery heating system, touchscreen display, 17-inch alloys and Apple CarPlay.
Kia Niro EV '3' model
Adds Vehicle to Device (V2L / V2D), 18-inch alloys, front parking sensors, keyless entry, and rear privacy glass.
Kia Niro EV '4' model
While the 4 trim includes heated rear seats, front passenger relaxation seating, power operated boot, vegan leather interior, sunroof and an upgrade audio sound system.
