The first examples of the Kia EV3 are likely to hit UK roads in early 2025, with specification and ordering expected to open before the end of 2024.
The Kia EV3 brings many of the coolest tech found on its larger siblings and introduces them into a cheaper and smaller package.
Clearly a compact SUV, the EV3 is 4.3 metres long and 1.85 metres wide, and is built on the brand's E-GMP platform, benefiting from Kia's 4th gen battery technology.
There are two battery sizes coming to the UK, the standard model features a 58.3kWh pack and a longer range 81.4kWh pack. The Longer Range version is expected to give the EV3 a real world range approaching 400 miles on a single charge. Kia is promising exceptional efficiency thanks to enhanced battery management unit and cell management unit tech being deployed, as well as an excellent drag co-efficient of just 0.263 Cd.
Both models are paired to a single 150kW electric motor. This gives an energetic sprint time of 7.5 seconds.
The new model is the first to benefit of third-generation i-Pedal technology, where the driver can adjust the regen braking to their preference. And Kis is also promising V2L will also come as standard on the EV3, which means the vehicle can power small appliances or devices, such as a laptop or kettle.
If you're interested in a personal or business lease of the Kia EV3, you'll be able to grab one just as soon as they become available in the UK. Make sure you've signed up to our newsletter to find out when you can order.
